Books and Borders Cafe: Read, Sip, and Dine until Midnight

Looking for cafes in Tomas Morato is not difficult. In fact, there are cafes and restaurants almost everywhere. What sets Books and Borders Cafe from others is its simplicity. And good news is their CR has a bidet.

Directions

Coming from Shutter Cafe, we walked left until we reached Vanity Club. We turned left from that corner and passed by Zirkoh (which was on the other side of the road). After two narrow streets, we were there. It’s easy to see, I swear.

Food

Not a fan of what I ordered. I ordered mixed berry milk shake (Php 160.00) and six pieces sweet and spicy buffalo wings (Php 270.00) with garlic rice (Php 55.00). Both are 7/10. I am looking forward to order their chocolate milk shake and chicken penne pesto or truffle mushroom next time though.

Since we were stranded in the heavy rain, I decided to order their flat white (Php 140.00). I rate this an 8/10.

For more of their food, check their menu here.

Place

The place is filled with shelves containing different books (categorized by genre), bright-colored sofa chairs, and simple ornaments. While their CR is not as fancy as other cafes, they have a bidet. Their staff is friendly too.

Books and Borders Cafe is also a great place where you can focus on finishing your thesis, your book, or your presentation. You are allowed to charge your devices, and you can stay there until two in the morning (Fridays and Saturdays only). Since most people are there to work, not only will you be given the peace to do your own thing, but you will also want to be productive. However, you might want to load your phones; though they offer free WiFi, their internet connection is not stable (which is not a problem for me since I don’t need too much internet when writing).
