Tsuruki-En Garden and Milk & Sunny

Tsuruki-En Garden is a part of Washington Sycip Park near Greenbelt Mall in Legaspi Village, Makati. I was surprised the first time I saw this since it was at the heart of one of the busiest parts of Makati. Currently, the whole park is being renovated, but the garden is still available to view.

The garden highlights two animals—the turtle and the crane. In many cultures, the turtle, which can live for 10,000 years, symbolizes, good health and long life; and the crane symbolizes happiness and eternal youth, which is said to live for 1,000 years, thus the legend of the 1,000 paper cranes. Together, they represent long life of happiness.

We had merienda in Milk & Sunny which was near Tsuruki-En. It was a decent and cute place, although I could not make a full blog out of it since we stayed there for only a few minutes.
